Our Northern Ireland policy is designed specifically for any work undertaken on behalf of the NI Housing Executive.
All of FMB Insurance’s Domestic and Commercial Warranties offer cover during the construction phase, as well as cover for the deposit paid. The policy protects against liquidation, faulty workmanship and structural damage.

Who has to take out this insurance? Is it the client or the builder?
Both the client and builder can take out a Domestic and Commercial warranty without it affecting the warranty in any way; however, both builder and homeowner must sign the documents before we will put a warranty in place.
Are there any restrictions if I’m not a member of the FMB, or if I use a builder who isn’t a member?
Only members of the Federation of Master Builders can access this warranty.
How much is the excess?
The excess for our Domestic and Commercial Warranties is £350.
